Verna Marie Ramage, 90, of Holton, formerly of Hoyt, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Lexington Park Nursing Home in Topeka.
She was born November 5, 1933 in Blanchard, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel and Nancy Taylor Anderson.
Verna was a member of the Hoyt United Methodist Church, and the Hoyt and Holton Senior Centers.
She had worked as a cook for the Hoyt Schools. She later worked in the Deli at Bauersfeld Grocery in Topeka.
She married Fred “Bud” Ramage on January 2, 1949 in Quartzite, Arizona. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2018.
Verna was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Johnny Ramage, who was stillborn, and her siblings, Kathy Donn, Donald Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, David Anderson, Robert Anderson and Freddie Anderson.
Survivors include her children, Michael Ramage (Carrie), Topeka, Patricia Terry (Paul), Silver Lake, and Dennis Ramage (Joni), and Janice Matchie (Roland), all of Holton, one brother, Charles Anderson, Yucaipa, CA, three sisters, Marybelle Stickman, Elk, WA, Glenda Grant, Hoyt and Betty Holt, Holton, twelve grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
