The United Way of Greater St. Joseph kicks off its annual campaign this week with a celebration on Thursday with community members, area businesses, and organizations.
The 2026 United Way Campaign Kick-Off will be held on Thursday, September 3rd, at EmPowerU, located at 518 South 6th Street in St. Joseph. Doors will open at 7:30am. for coffee, breakfast bites and an opportunity to connect with others with the program beginning at 8am with the introduction of the 2026 Campaign Co-Chairs, Mike Hurst and Royal “RT” Turner, recognition of Pacesetter Campaign results, and the premiere of the 2026 United Way Campaign Video.
The Campaign Kick-Off is open to the community. Registration is $10 per person or $75 for a group of eight. To register, visit the United Way’s website by clicking HERE. Funds raised during the 2026 United Way Campaign will support United Way Partner Agencies and Initiatives providing important services to individuals and families throughout Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas in 2027.
Community volunteers will meet in December to help determine how dollars raised through the Campaign will be allocated among United Way’s Partner Agencies, Initiatives and grants.
