Sharon Fay Thomas, passed away on April 10, 2023, at Menorah Medical Center. Born on March 3, 1961, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Sharon was the daughter of the late Donald and Shirley Nigh.
Sharon completed her high school education and went on to serve as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. Her dedication to her work and the care she provided to her patients were a testament to her kind and compassionate nature.
Throughout her life, Sharon enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting, always living life to the fullest. She cherished the time spent with her daughter, Danielle, who fondly remembers her mother as the best mother anyone could have. Sharon's love for God was evident in her actions and the way she treated others.
Sharon is survived by her significant other, Ernest J. Thomas, and her daughter, Danielle Thomas Payton. She was a beloved sister to Cheryl George, Tammy Huffman, Annie Nigh, Debbie Eldridge, and Brian Nigh. Sharon was predeceased by her parents and brother, Rick Nigh. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Sharon will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her daughter, Danielle, says, "I miss you, mommy." Sharon's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
