Ronald David “Ronnie” Anderson, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024.
He was born December 17, 1941 in Edgerton, Missouri, and was a graduate of Lafayette High School.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later in the Army National Guard.
He married Betty Bernice Reece on August 11, 1961. She preceded him in death on April 30, 2022.
He owned Aitchison Richmond Plumbing Supply for 25 years.
Ronnie was a member of Aerie 49 Order of the Eagles, of which he was past president three times, Brotherhood Lodge, Scottish Rite Temple, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, Moila Shrine Temple, and American Legion Post 359.
Ronnie enjoyed painting and watching Westerns and crime dramas. He loved spending time with family, especially the grandkids, at the pool and at family get-togethers on the Fourth of July. He was also an animal lover.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty; his parents, William Anderson and Bernice Rowland; sister, Barbara Anderson Hoyt; brother-in-law, George Hoyt; and stepfather, Don Zellars.
Survivors include his children, Brenda Williams (Joe), Ronnie Anderson (Christy); grandchildren, Bill, Brendan, Samantha, Riley and Dylan; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
