Valjean Delores Paige 93 years young. Born August 26, 1931, died March 7, 2025 at Aspire Nursing Home Platte City, Mo.Valjean (Valj) grew up in Dearborn, Mo and married her childhood sweetheart William (Bill) Paige Sr. Also from Dearborn/New Market area. They were married 60 years and together raised 7 children and numerous foster children. Valjean was the daughter of Simeon and Maudie (Moss) Lamar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simeon & Maudie, siblings: Glen Lamar, Marie Bishop and Fern Fotie. As well as her Husband William (Bill) and 2 sons William Paige II and Larry Paige.
Valjean is survived by: Daughter in law Carol Paige, Son Rodger (Kim) Paige, Son David (June) Paige, daughter Dawn(Eric) Hite, daughter Cherry (Shawn) Milker, daughter Kim Eshnauer.22 grandchildren, 42 Great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Valjean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifetime member of New Market Christian Church. She loved The Lord with all her heart, she was a prayer warrior. She loved to cook for family and hosted many birthdays, holidays and other family gatherings. Although they moved away from New Market area to raise their family in the KC North and Holt Mo area. They were over joyed to move back to New Market to the family farm and build their dream home in their golden years. There they made many wonderful memories for the children and grandchildren.
