BROWN COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Sunday in Brown County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by Cesar E Lopez, 41, Hiawatha, was eastbound on Kansas 20 just west of Hazelnut Road. The driver lost control of the pickup in slushy and slick road conditions.
The pickup slid into the westbound lane and struck a 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Chad D. Miller, 45, St. Joseph, head-on.
EMS transported Lozez, Miller and a passenger in the Mitsubishi Shelly L. Miller, 46, St. Joseph, to Amberwell. The KHP had incomplete seat belt information.
