Pamela “Pam” Shilling, 69, passed away on April 13, 2026.
She was born on March 27, 1957, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Marion Levi Shilling and Doris Maxine (Ketter) Shilling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by eleven siblings: Clinton Shilling, Wayne Shilling, Sharon (Shilling) May, Harold Shilling, Raymond Shilling, Donald Shilling, Ronald Shilling, William Shilling, Jerry Shilling, Geneva (Shilling) Smith, and Gerald Shilling.
She is survived by one sibling, Vickie (Shilling) DeMoss.
Pam graduated from Blakesburg Community High School in Eddyville, Iowa.
She enjoyed many creative hobbies, including beadwork, jewelry making, drawing, and various other crafts. She loved fishing on cool days and playing bingo in the evenings.
She had a natural way with animals and could nurse even the sickest creature back to health. Over the years she had many loyal companions, but her dog Buddy (Budweiser) held a special place in her heart.
Pam is survived by her son, Jimmy Lee Shilling (Deanna). Her two grandchildren, Tori Elizabeth Shilling and Spencer Lee Owen Shilling, were the joy of her life, and she loved them deeply.
Pam will be remembered for her creativity, her gentle nature, and the love she shared with her family.
The family extends their sincere thanks to Benedictine Living Community and Mosaic Life Care Hospice for the care and comfort they provided to Pam in her final days.
