Leila Claire Davis, 88, Weston, Missouri, formerly St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026.
She was born August 2, 1937 to Clarence E. and Edna (Ladage) Schwalm in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Leila married Robert Francis Davis on September 20, 1952. He passed away on October 25, 2001.
She was a hardworking woman who contributed her time through her work with Stetson Hats and Second Harvest Food Bank.
She had a strong faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Weston, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents and children, Robin Thomas, Janice Sipes, David Davis, and Kristie Gardner.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorie Russell; grandchildren, Travis Davis, Tasha Blackburn, Samantha Foster, Robert Gardner, Tim Gardner, Joey Gardner, Wendy Losson, Kerri Krumme, James Sipes, Nicole Jester, Evan Russell, Briana Castellon, and Kayle Rich; and numerous great grandchildren.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 4, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Inurnment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, April 3, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church, Weston, Missouri.
