ONAGA – Karen S. Kocher, 77, of Onaga, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her home.
She was born February 2, 1946 at Onaga, the daughter of Vern and Dolores McClacherty McKinsey. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1964.
She married John H. Kocher on May 1, 1965 in Manhattan. He survives, of the home.
Karen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Duluth and had worked at the Onaga Clinic for thirty plus years.
Other survivors include a son, C. J. Kocher and wife Stephanie, Vermillion, SD, a daughter, Heather Myers and husband Troy, Topeka, one brother, Alan McKinsey, Onaga, and five grandchildren, Emmalie and husband Alex, Elyse, Joseph, Ian and Lars.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Duluth. Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in St. Luke South Cemetery. Karen will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. The casket will remain closed.
