Driver fled crash that left pickup on top of guardrail

HARRISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Wednesday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported 2006 Ford F250 driven by a 51-year-old Oakwood, Oklahoma, man was southbound on Interstate 35. The pickup and another southbound vehicle sideswiped each other near the center of the road.  

After impact, the pickup traveled off the east side of the road, rolled and came to rest on top of a guardrail. The other vehicle failed to stop.

North Harrison EMS transported the pickup driver to Harrison County Community Hospital.  He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the identity of accident victims.
