William “Rocky” Simpson, 69, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
He was born on November 29, 1953, in St. Joseph, Missouri to William F. and Frances M. (Smith) Simpson.
He was a graduate of Savannah R-III School District and spent many years working as a carpenter and laborer for local companies and also in Florida after moving there in 1988. He returned to Missouri in 2000 to the Lake of the Ozarks area and worked for the local hospital. He later relocated to the Branson area where he retired from the HCW Development Co. After retirement he returned to Savannah.
Rocky enjoyed hunting and fishing, and in his younger years he enjoyed playing softball. He was a self-proclaimed car buff, having owned a few classic vehicles. His family was very special to him, and he enjoyed spending his time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his children, Trevor Simpson (Lauren) and Adam Simpson (Stacy); five granddaughters and one grandson; his siblings, Jeannie Snapp (Corky), Randy Simpson (Carla) and David Simpson (Chellie Gilbert).
