Jerry Lee Meyer, age 90, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Oregon Care Center in Oregon, Mo.
Jerry was born on March 12, 1934 in Newtown, Mo. one of three daughters of Charles C. “Lum” and Carmen A. (Holteen) Patterson. She was raised near Amazonia, Missouri and graduated from Savannah High School.
Jerry married Robert James “Bob” Meyer and they became parents of four boys, and lived all their married life in the Oregon, Missouri area.
Jerry was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #4838, and served as president in 1961. She also served as South Holt school PTA president from 1966 to 1967. Jerry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oregon. There she served as a deacon, elder, and trustee beginning in 1987 and ending with the closing of the church in 2014.
Jerry worked for the Pettijohn-Eiser Funeral Home, and later the Chamberlain Funeral Home for many years.
Jerry and Bob enjoyed traveling along the Rocky Mountains and camping with family and friends, especially in Branson, Missouri.
Proceeding her in death were her parents; husband, Bob in 2014; sons, Robert L. “Bobby” Meyer and Dale G. Meyer, both in 2017; and sister, Ida Mae Alexander.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Meyer of Oregon and Mark (Beth) Meyer of Falls City, Nebraska; grandsons, Aaron (Breann) and Maci; and Andrew (Adrienne) Meyer; great grandson, William “Liam” Meyer; sister, Betty Lou Yama of Las Vegas, Nevada; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Services: Saturday, November 30, 2024, 2:00 pm, Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon. Family will greet friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Maple Grove Cemetery Association, Oregon, Missouri.
