A mural depicting seven veterans across the history of the United States is set to make its debut on the town square in Maysville tomorrow morning. The mural, Maysville's first, is painted on the side on the side of 202 west Main Street, featuring figures as tall as 27 feet, painted over top of an American flag stretching the length of the building. The work has taken several months by Missouri Artist of the Year Ray Harvey, as named by Missouri Arts Council. Harvey has created more than 600 murals across a 30-year career.
A dedication for the mural, including recognizing the effort by Harvey, and funding from Maysville's Endowment Fund and donations from community members, will take place 11 AM Friday morning, October 9th.
