Officers with Saint Joseph's Police Department responded to two separate shooting incidents overnight.
First, just after midnight, officers responded to shots in the 1500 block of Mason Avenue on the south side. Officers found evidence confirming those shots, as well as one residence that had been struck in the fire. No injuries or arrests have been reported at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
Additionally, officers responded to a shooting near 20th and Messanie around 4 AM. One adult male was struck, receiving severe injuries. He was sent to Mosaic Life Care for treatment, as is reportedly stable at this time. No suspect is in custody, and investigators do not believe there is any ongoing public threat.
