Cynthia Meyer August 21, 1942-January 30, 2026

Cynthia Lee Meyer, 83, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on January 30th, 2026.

Cynthia was born to the late Marjory (McClure) and Spencer Wildhagen.

On February 28th, 1964 she was united in marriage to George Meyer in California.

Cynthia had worked a variety of places through the years including AT&T Headquarters as the Curriculum Manager where she designed, developed, and implemented technical training procedures for the company, and managed associate managers. She later found her passion of professional storytelling at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. Where she captivated the guests and visitors with her engaging stories of life in the 18th Century, all while dressed in period costumes. In her hobbies, Cynthia enjoyed to knit, and research family genealogy.

Cynthia was a member of the Wellspring United Methodist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was also a devoted member to the Public Times Chapter, Sweet Adeline's, and proudly served as the founder and first president of the Williamsburg, Virginia chapter of the Red Hat Ladies.

Later in life Cynthia settled back to the St. Joseph, Missouri area where she resided with her family.

Preceding Cynthia in death, were her parents, Marjory and Spencer, and her husband, George.

Survivors include her children Stephanie Meyer and Dakota Meyer, and grandson, Spencer Meyer.

Cynthia has been cremated under the care and direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel of St. Joseph, Missouri.

Graveside services and inurnment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park Cemetery in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Memorials are suggested to be directed to Guide Dogs for the Blind. An organization based out of San Rafael, California.
