The United Way of Greater St. Joseph is currently accepting applications for scholarships from teachers in early care and education programs who are pursuing further education in early childhood and intend to remain in the early care and education profession in the St. Joseph region.
A limited number of scholarships for the 2026 semester are available that wil be provided by the United Way. Scholarships for early care and education providers are a key strategy of United Way Success By 6.
“Early educators in the child care field serve an important role in development of the children in their care. What happens in the early years sets the foundation for later learning and behaviors and has a profound impact on the future of our community,” Director of Children’s Initiatives Bobbie Cronk says in a news release.
