Bertha Dominguez, 89, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026.
She was born August 21, 1936 to Juan and Dulce (Dotres) Parra in Holguin, Cuba.
Bertha married Gregorio Aldo Dominguez on August 14, 1955, and together they shared many years of love and companionship until his passing on August 28, 1992.
Bertha devoted many years of service as a social worker and director of Harvest America Corporation, where she served faithfully for 20 years.
She was a member of St. Rosa of Lima Catholic Church.
Above all else, Bertha treasured her family. Her grandchildren were her everything, and she found great happiness in their accomplishments, their laughter, and the time they shared together.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her parents, as well as her siblings, Miguel Parra, M.D., Juan L. Parra, and Emilia Parra.
Survivors include her children, Bertica Dominguez Shaver, J.D., Aldo J. Dominguez, J.D., and Juan Carlos Dominguez, M.D.; grandchildren, Aldo G. Dominguez, M.D., Camila Dominguez, M.D., Cristian Shaver Dominguez, J.D., Carlos Dominguez, D.P.M., Natali Shaver Dominguez, Jazmin Dominguez, and Marcos Dominguez; brother, Daniel Parra, M.D.
Services Pending. The family suggests memorial contributions to Little Sisters of the Poor.
