Fire destroyed an unoccupied house on Church Street in St.
Joseph Tuesday night.

St. Joseph firefighters responded to the call at 1211 Church
Street around 10 o’clock. Fire had already consumed much of the back of the
structure upon their arrival. Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading.

St. Joseph fire officials report no one was in the house at
the time of the fire. The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
