A 45-year-old homeless man has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon in last week’s shooting on Blackwell Road.
St. Joseph police report Jason Stanton, who lists St. Joseph as his hometown, has been charged in the shooting in the 2700 block of Blackwell Road.
No one was wounded in the shooting last Tuesday evening around 11 o’clock. Police report officers discovered a pick-up in the ditch with bullet holes in it. Other evidence of a shooting was found in the roadway. The driver and a passenger in the pick-up were not wounded.
Officers tracked down Stanton and took him into custody about half an hour later.
