Debris from recent storms can be taken to the St. Joseph landfill by city residents beginning Thursday.
The City of St. Joseph says tree limbs and branches are the only acceptable material that can be taken to the landfill for disposal. Residents who bring debris to the landfill will have to make a stop at the weight scale. The city is responsible to pay the state for the storm debris tonnage accepted.
You must prove you are a St. Joseph resident. No commercial vehicles are allowed.
Residents will follow the same guidelines as Clean Sweep as outlined on the city website: stjosephmo.gov.
Landfill hours are 7am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Storm debris will be accepted through July 30th.
