Vincent Nathaniel Crowley Jr., 44, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Vincent was born in St. Joseph on June 19, 1981, to Velda King and Vincent Crowley Sr. Vincent grew up in St. Joseph and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 2004 from Central Missouri State University, where he was on the wrestling team and cheer squad. He received a Master of Science degree in 2012. He married Stephanie Davis on May 23, 2009.

Vincent was an educator and coach. He was passionate about teaching engineering and shop classes. He loved coaching many different things, especially wrestling. During his tenure, he coached wrestling, soccer, football, robotics, and Science Olympiad. Vincent also worked in the engineering industry as an Engineer Technologist.

Vincent loved his wife and girls. His two greatest accomplishments were marrying Stephanie and being a devoted father to Quinlan and Bellamy. He loved spending time with his family. When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he enjoyed tinkering. Vincent enjoyed creating things in his 3D design software and 3D printing. He also liked creating things with his hands.

Vincent was diagnosed with kidney disease in December 2008. Though there were years when his health was stable, the disease was a part of his life until he died. The last five years were particularly hard physically. However, Vincent and Stephanie did not allow the disease to dominate their life together. Instead, what Vincent poured himself into was being a husband, a father, a friend, a teacher, a spiritual companion, and a companion with Jesus. From his conversations with people to his Facebook postings, Vincent led with his faith. And it was a faith that was shaped not by life being easy, but by the richness of sorrow and joy, of pain and healing, of struggle and triumph. And the arc around his faith was love: love for God, for Stephanie, for Quinlan and Bellamy, for his wonderful extended family and friends, for teaching, and the love of living life in its fullness. In the gospel of John, on the night before his crucifixion, Jesus tells his disciples: “So, you have pain now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.” No one took away Vincent’s joy. Even though we will miss Vincent’s earthly presence, we rejoice that Vincent’s pain is gone and that he has left a legacy of faith, hope, and love.

Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Vincent; stepfather, Mark Mays; cousin, Shawn Williams; maternal grandparents, Ella Weston and Philip King; and paternal grandparents, Louvelia and Charles Crowley.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Stephanie; daughters, Quinlan and Bellamy; mother, Velda King-Mays; sisters, Joeritta Crowley, Shawneekia Mays (Jerome Bratton), Shaneece Mays; brothers, Philip King (Elizabeth Saxton), Qunvel King (Maria Dorssom), Auntonio Jones (Jodie); parents-in-law, Charles & Betty Davis; sisters-in-law, Michelle Robinson (Wesley), Jamie Davis (Chad Sawyer); chosen family Jeff Sprague, Cathy Sprague, Chad Sprague (Jaime), Shawn Sprague; Phi Beta Sigma Line Brothers Roger Bell II, Gregory Northern, Gino Taylor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
