Iola Mae Dennison, 84, of St. Joseph, MO passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at her home. She was born January 21, 1940 in Maitland, MO, daughter of Reva and Oliver Dennison. Iola graduated from Maitland High School in 1958. She worked for Emerson Manufacturing, where she worked on the construction of Gas Dryers. Iola was an avid football fan, who enjoyed fishing, gardening, crocheting, sewing, reading, and working on puzzles. She was a member of the T.O.P.S. Club.
Iola was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, James, John, and Gary Dennison, and her twin sister, Viola Dennison. Survivors include sister, Claudia Smith of St. Joseph, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday.
