BUCHANAN COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just before 6p.m.Thursday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1990 Cadillac Seville driven by Calvin X. Guenther, 18, Wathena, was southbound on Northwest Airport Road north of 170 Road five miles west of St. Joseph.
The driver lost control of the car. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road, returned to the road, began to skid, traveled off the west side of the road again, struck a traffic sign, an embankment, rotated clockwise, struck the embankment a second time and overturned.
Buchanan County EMS transported Guenther and passengers Sophie J. Juhl, 18, Wathena and a 14-year-old Elwood boy to Mosaic Life Care. Juhl and Guenther were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
