Shelly Guyer, 62, of Holt, MO passed away, November 4, 2024.
She was born on August 31, 1962 to Freddie and Ann (Margo) Pruitt in Kansas City, KS. Shelly grew up in Gower and graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1980. She received her Nursing Degree at William Jewell College and her master’s in nursing from the University of Kansas.
In 1985 she was united in marriage to Micheal Guyer. After their marriage they lived in Holt, MO where they built their 6-acre homestead. Shelly loved gardening, her animals, and enjoyed making jewelry.
Shelly was a registered nurse at North Kansas City Hospital for over 20 years and after receiving her master’s degree she pursued new opportunities at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Shelly was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Micheal; children, Lauren (Kenny) Heller and Casey (Erica) Guyer; grandson, Grayson; mother, Ann Pruitt; sister, Sherry (Ron) Ellis; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8th at Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Smithville. Inurnment at later date at Ridgely Cemetery.
