Nancy Sue Martin 71, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 in a St. Joseph, MO hospital. She was born September 10, 1953 in Springfield, IL, daughter of the late Ermalea and Warren Drake. She attended Webster Elementary and Lafayette High School. She worked at the Marriott Hotel at the KCI Airport as a Manager for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her work at the Marriott. She was a member of the Pentecostals of St. Joseph.
Nancy was preceded in death by husband, William "Bill" Harold Martin, Jr., sons, David Martin, and Lil Eddy, her parents, brother, Joseph Drake, and a sister, Barbara Hitchler. Survivors include children: Christi (Mike) Collins, Kansas City, MO, William (Jessica) Martin, Las Vegas, NV, Jamie Martin, St. Joseph, MO, Joseph (Cassidy) Martin, Oregon, MO, and Joshua (Christina) Martin, Elwood, KS, 18 grandchildren, Destiny, Hayleigh, Lura, DJ, Carl, Tritt, Dakota, Christopher, Kody, Michael, Tyler, Emilea, Maddisyn, Kaydense, Aiden, Gabby, Emily, and Kailey, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, sister, Marilyn (Don) Hux, St. Joseph, MO, and her brother, Warren (Suzanne) Drake, Panama City, FL.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Friday, June 13, 2025 at the Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will be at the Bellemont Cemetery, Wathena, KS.
