Harold Wayne Culey, 84 of Independence, MO, formerly of Atchison, KS, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Center Point Medical Center, Independence, MO.
Graveside service and burial will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Sumner Cemetery, with Rev. Marty Reed officiating. Harold was born March 7, 1940, in Bruner, MO, the son of Loman and Irma (Gordon) Culey. He graduated from high school in 1958. Harold worked as a forklift operator for Sunshine Biscuits. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Atchison, KS, and the Romeo’s where he lived. Harold enjoyed playing Pac-Man, fishing and calling Bingo every Friday night.
Harold married Mary A. Crabtree in 1972, she preceded him on June 29, 2023. The survivors include two daughters, Julie and Jeff Welch, Cummings, KS, Melissa and Matt Schuetz, Liberty, MO, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, along with nephews and nieces.
He was also preceded by his parents, four brothers, two sisters.
