Sara Jane Sprague, 82, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025.

She was born April 2, 1943 to James and Amy (Ford) Silkwood in Braymer, Missouri.

Sara dedicated many years to the Robidoux Hotel as a housekeeper before it closed its doors. Later, she found her calling in serving others as a caretaker with InterServ, a role she embraced with love and dedication for over two decades. Beyond her professional life, Sara was a member of the Northside Council, where she worked wholeheartedly for the betterment of her community.

Sara enjoyed spending time conversing with the "old fellers" at Hardees. She was also known for being the Queen of the Silver Dollar. In her golden years, she cherished time on the porch with her loved ones. Her passions included coloring and dancing—activities that brought joy to her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, RC Buckler; and brother, Hiram Silkwood.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Buckler (Danny Sr.); grandchildren, Ryan Buckler (Kelly), Kyle Buckler (April), Danny Buckler, Jr., and Bobby Buckler; great-grandchildren, Sage, Cadence, Kayleen, Harold, Clayton, Cheyenne, Danni, Ernie Buckler, and Elizabeth Ebersold.

Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10:00 A.M. Monday, Mount Auburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Noyes Home for Children.
