The Savannah Pool is set to reopen this Memorial Day following a community-led rescue effort that raised over $720,000 to prevent its permanent closure.
After local professionals determined the facility could be renovated for significantly less than original estimates, a wave of donors and volunteers stepped in to fund and facilitate the repairs.
City officials confirmed that renovations are on schedule and a full lifeguard staff has been hired. The project ensures the pool will remain a safe community hub for the upcoming summer season and years to come.
