Wesley Roy Reed 62, of Elwood, KS, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Kansas University Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1961 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Mary and Sanford Reed.
He graduated from Elwood High School, class of 1979. He was the owner operator at Reed Sewer Service. Wes was a very kind hearted, and the sweetest generous man, who loved his poodles, fishing, horseshoes, music, and playing the guitar in several bands. He was a member of the Family Worship Center Church, St. Joseph, MO.
Wes was preceded in death by wife, Betty Jean Reed, parents, sister, Linda Lewis, brother, Kenny Reed, and great nephew, Landon Lewis.
Survivors include: three nieces, Kenah Reed (Rick James), Kelly Lewis, and Carie (Matt) Davis all of St. Joseph, MO, 9 great nieces and nephews, 4 step daughters, and several step grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastors Douglas Cline and Larry Gray officiating. The Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
