Missouri Western Women add four on National Signing Day

Missouri Western women's basketball coach Candi Whitaker has announced the next generation of Griffons, signing four MWSU commits for the 2021-22 season.

All four high school signees come from the states of Kansas and Texas.

Jaidyn Schomp

6'3 | Forward | Derby, KS | Derby High School

Whitaker on Schomp: "Jaidyn is an excellent athlete who can impact the game in a variety of ways with her length and athleticism. She takes great pride in her defense and has a high ceiling as she continues to expand her offensive game."

Alyssa Bonilla

5'4 | Point Guard | El Paso, TX | El Paso High School

Whitaker on Bonilla: "Alyssa is a quick, crafty point guard that does an excellent job of creating for herself and others. She is a proven presence from behind the arc and will help us continue to play with great tempo."

Abby Bala

5'7 | Combo Guard | Cinco Ranch, TX | Cinco Ranch HS

Whitaker on Bala:: "We are very excited to add Abby to the Griffon family. She is a competitive, play-making guard that brings a high-level skill set and scoring presence to the court."

Jae'mya Lyons

6'0 | Forward/Center | Topeka, KS | Topeka High School

Whitaker on Lyons: "Jae'mya is a skilled post player that has great instincts in the paint. She can rebound out of her area at a high level and understands how to make her team better."
