We now have both winners in the reworked Shop St. Joseph Holiday Program.
It took no time for the grand prize winner to step forward and, now, the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce says the second winner of the new Shop Small Business Bonus has come forward.
News conferences have been scheduled for this afternoon.
The grand prize winner gets $10,000. The Chamber created a new prize this year, an incentive to shop local, small businesses. That prize is $2,500.
Even if you didn’t win either prize, hang on to your tickets. There are several second-chance prizes.
This is the 17th year for the local holiday shopping program. The program’s goal is to keep holiday spending in the local economy, so sales tax collected goes back into helping St. Joseph and Buchanan County projects. Shop St. Joseph is presented by First Option Bank.
