ATCHISON COUNTY, MO. —A Missouri man was injured in an accident just after midnight Thursday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2011 Ford Fiesta driven by Caleb Z. Vandevere, 27, Tarkio, was westbound on U.S. 136 two miles east of Tarkio.
The vehicle traveled off the north side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The car began to slide, traveled across both lanes of the highway and overturned in the ditch.
Atchison-Holt ambulance transported Vandevere to Fairfax Community Hospital. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
