George Redman Fugett, 74, of Kansas City, MO passed away November 26, 2024.
He was born on February 5, 1950, to George Joseph and Vivian Lousie (Crump) Fugett in Leavenworth, KS. George grew up in Platte City and graduated from Platte County High School in 1969.
On March 5, 1971, he was united in marriage to Vicky Rae Martin. After their marriage they lived in Platte County where they made their home.
George was a retired teamster truck driver and drove truck for Consolidated Freight Ways for over 30 years. He then worked for Kansas City Missouri Transit Service and retired after 5 years. He was currently working for Drury Inn as a shuttle driver. His favorite job was babysitting his 3 grandchildren and his great-granddaughter.
He was a member of Ferrelview Christian Church. George enjoyed fishing, bowling, mini golfing and attending and participating in all his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. George loved the life he made with Vicky and he was a wonderful husband, dad and Papa.
George was preceded in death by his parents George Fugett and Vivian Oliver; and brothers Larry “Buddy” Williams, John Williams and Robert “Bob” Phillips; father-in-law Raymond Martin.
He is survived by his wife Vicky Fugett; children Scott Fugett, John (Janelle) Fugett and Chrissy (Kevin) Robinette; grandchildren Cole, Ray (Shelby), Katie and Lucas; great-granddaughter Caroline; sisters Alice “Penny” (Bob) Poynter and Mary (Paul) Spears; mother-in-law Thelma Martin; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation: 10:00-11:00 with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 4th at Ferrelview Christian Church, 117 Ona Street, Kansas City, MO 64163.
