Young athletes looking for a new challenge can hit the ice this weekend at the Try Hockey for Free event.
The St. Joseph Youth Hockey Association is hosting the annual event this Saturday, Feb. 22, at Bode Ice Arena. Kids not currently registered for a hockey team can participate from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
No experience is necessary, and all equipment is provided. Organizers say bike helmets are welcome for those wanting extra protection.
