NODAWAY COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 7:30p.m. Wednesday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1992 Lexus SC300 driven by Elisea T. Downs, 22, Maryville, was northbound on U.S. 71 just south of 395th Street fifteen miles south of Maryville.
The front left tire deflated and the car began to skid. The car crossed the into the passing lane, traveled off the west side of the road, struck a bridge structure, returned to the road and came to rest.
A private vehicle transported Downs and a passenger Mason J. Bammer, 20, Maryville, to Mosaic in Maryville. Bammer was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
