A person injured in a St. Joseph fire has died.
The St. Joseph Police Department reports a person removed from a house fire in the early morning hours of Friday has died.
Firefighters responded to the fire around three o’clock Friday morning near the intersection of Jamesport Street and Industrial Road. The person was taken to the hospital, but later died of injuries from the fire.
Two firefighters suffered injuries severe enough to require medical attention. The St. Joseph Fire Department reports the two firefighters were treated and released.
The fire remains under investigation.
