Harold Edward Walker was born October 4, 1941 at Holton, Kansas to Christopher J. and Mildred (Walsh) Walker. He passed from this life March 23, 2026, in Panama City, Florida.
Harold graduated from Mayetta High School in 1959 and attended St. Benedict’s College, Atchison. He served 6 years in the United States Army in the States, Germany, and Vietnam.
Harold worked as an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and later farmed near Mayetta. He enjoyed music and bowling. He served the NFO as grain chairman and belonged to the American Legion Post 423 at Mayetta.
Harold married Beverly Jeffrey, June 13, 1971. They had 3 children; Harold Edward Walker, Jr. (Charlie), Christopher Walker (Melissa), and Sherry Lowrey (Chico), all of Panama City. They later divorced.
He married Dianne Boeselager on October 4, 1997. She survives along with her sons, Mark (Elaine) Boeselager, Matthew (Jessica) Boeselager of Topeka, and Jason (Anne) Boeselager of Chicago, Illinois.
Harold is survived by four sisters, Helen (Richard) Bausch and Joann Walker (Max Martin) of Mayetta, Rosemary Bergeron, Olathe, and Patricia (Alan) Erickson, Colby; two brothers-in-law Melroy Kopsa, Cuba, and Arnold Schumacher, Holton, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. Inurnment with military honors will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, west of Holton.
