Emma Retta (Robinson) Pyle, 93, of Hiawatha, Kansas, passed away on Thursday January 8, 2026, at The Apostolic Christian Home in Sabetha, Kansas. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ, Emma is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her eternal home! She will be missed by family and friends!
Emma was born on August 10, 1932, to Byron and Elizabeth (Saylor) Robinson in Morrill, Kansas.
Emma married Kenneth L. Pyle on March 5, 1950. To this union were born eight children. Kenneth and Emma later divorced.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Cedric and Eugene, a sister, Elba Snyder, and two great grandchildren.
Emma is survived by her children: Michael (Michelle) Pyle, Hiawatha, Kansas; Kathryn (Lloyd) Hiebert, Salem, Oregon; Robin (Shawn) Loyd, Hiawatha, Kansas; Jane (Rich) King, Morrill, Kansas; Dennis (Jennifer) Pyle, Hiawatha, Kansas; Kenneth (Leisa) Pyle, Hiawatha, Kansas; Lori (Nick) Yonker, Salem, Oregon; James (Ellen) Pyle, Atchison, Kansas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
A private family burial was held at the Morrill Cemetery, Morrill, Kansas.
Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering in honor of Emmy. It will be held from 2:00-4:00pm on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Morrill Community Building, 601 Elliot St., Morrill, Kansas 66515. A light meal will be provided.
