Leonard Smith, 79, of Agency, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at his home in Agency.
He was born January 26, 1947 in Lebanon, OR, son of Jeneva (Thurman) and John Smith. In 1965, he graduated from high school in California. On December 2, 1972, he married Raeona Maddox in St. Joseph. He worked at Buildex, retiring in 2012. Leonard was a simple man. He enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey, an avid collector of Hot-Wheels and was the proud operator of Agency Auto Salvage for over 20 years.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, John Smith II, brothers, Larry and Terry Smith, and great-granddaughter, Raelynn Smith.
Survivors include wife of 53 years, Raeona Smith of the home, sons, Leonard (Gina) Smith of Agency, and Len Smith II of Oregon, grandchildren, Corbin, Ciera, Miranda and Justin, great-grandchildren, Chevy, Gavan, Ryder, Tatum and Tucker, nephew, Raymond Maddox III, niece, Cora Reed, and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am, April 16, 2026 at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday. Mr. Smith will be cremated following services and Inurnment will be at a later date at Agency Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
