Scott Alan Poff 53, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 in St. Joseph. He was born October 11, 1971 in Springfield, MO, son of Martha Lawhon and David Poff. He enjoyed fishing with his family, riding and fixing up his son, Brandon's dirtbike. Scott enjoyed fixing cool cars, not the lame ones. He played his guitar so loud, that he's probably the reason his kids have hearing troubles. He had a soft spot for his kids and grandkids, no matter how tough he was on the outside. Scott was always lending a helpful hand, and he will be missed greatly.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Lawhon, and one of his closest friends, Mikey Townsend. Survivors include: daughters, Kerrine (Gaige) Poff of Platte City, MO and Alicia (David) Easter, son, Brandon Poff, mother of children, Tamela Kerns, father, David Poff, brothers, David "Nick" Poff and Christopher Poff, sister, Julie Poff, grandchildren, Kim, Zane, Rylan, David Jr., Matthew, and Adailyn, best friends, Greg Wilson, Gary (Barb) Wampler, and numerous other friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Friday at Central Assembly of God. Mr. Poff has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the Scott Poff Memorial Fund in care of Rupp Funeral Home.
