A family-friendly event, and date night opportunity is just a week away!

St. Joseph’s Missouri Theater is the premiere spot for St. Joseph’s very own and locally made movie, Accidental Family.

Director and writer Jason Hudson says Accidental Family is not the traditional story that you might see in a romantic comedy.

“This is a really fun movie, Accidental Family. It’s packed with laughs. It's packed with deep emotion,” Hudson tells St. Joseph Post. “There’s twists and turns throughout the whole story and there’s a lot of things that are unpredictable.”

Hudson compares the city of St. Joseph to movie sets and studios.

“You’re going to see they have a town that they’ve built on their set that looks like St. Joseph. They’ve got houses that look just like St. Joseph’s. They’ve got mansions that look like St. Joseph’s,” says Hudson. “I’m like, oh my gosh, we don’t have to build a studio. We just film what’s here.”

Hudson adds that the city is more than just an aesthetic.

“These locations in the city were beautiful and it’s here,” says Hudson. “And then also the community of St. Joseph, they’re so caring and open to help, and it’s really that Midwest spirit.”

From the creators of Christmas at The Chateau, Accidental Family will be playing at the Missouri Theater August 6-8th with a total of five showtimes. Get to walk the red carpet, meet the cast, and enjoy the evening with a little comedy. Get your tickets online here
