The Bushman Planetarium at Missouri Western State University will present a public showing of “Stars of the Pharaohs” coming up next week on January 23rd.
The show will allow viewers to travel to ancient Egypt to see how science was used to tell time, make a workable calendar and align huge buildings, as well as learn about the connection the ancient Egyptians felt with the stars and various astronomical phenomena. People will be able to experience some of the most spectacular temples and tombs of the ancient world.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under, students, employees, military and senior citizens age 60 and up. The show begins at 7pm next Friday, and planetarium tickets must be purchased in advance either online or in person at Agenstein Hall, room 140 during regular business hours. The planetarium is located in Agenstein Hall, room 147.
