NODAWAY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30p.m. Monday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Andrew County Sheriff's Deputies were in pursuit of a 2008 GMC Envoy driven by Michael D. Riley, 43, Lee's Summit, was northbound on U.S. 71 two miles north of Midway.
The SUV traveled off the east side of the road, struck a fence, a utility pole and overturned.
Nodaway County EMS transported Riley to Mosaic Life Care. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The patrol did not release details on what prompted the chase.
