A new partnership between Mosaic Life Care and Amberwell Health in Atchison, Kansas will help provide cancer treatment in Atchison and to the surrounding region.
Amberwell Health and Mosaic Life Care have announced a collaboration to launch Amberwell Cancer Care, a new program that will help to bring chemotherapy, infusion therapy, and onsite oncology clinic appointments to Atchison and the surrounding region for the first time. The program will open in early 2028 as part of a 20,000-square-foot addition to the Amberwell Atchison campus.
The new campus will be a huge benefit for patients in northeast Kansas. A cancer diagnosis today often means an hour or more of travel each way for oncology visits and chemotherapy, on top of an already difficult experience for those patients, and the new Amberwell Cancer Care will change that. The program will offer purpose-built infusion space, dedicated oncology pharmacy capability, onsite oncology clinic appointments, and care from a physician team with deep regional experience.
Clinical oversight will be provided by Mosaic Medical Director of Oncology Rony Abou-Jawde, MD, better known around the Mosaic campus as Dr. AJ, and Vinay Gupta, MD, who currently provides onsite infusion care in Atchison. Dr. AJ has served the region for more than 20 years and is widely respected for personalized, expert oncology care.
Dr. Gupta has built strong relationships with Amberwell Atchison providers and has been a trusted presence for local patients. Patients may receive chemotherapy at Amberwell Cancer Care regardless of where their diagnosis and treatment plan were established.
