BUCHANAN COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 10:30p.m. Sunday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by Theodore L. Marti, 37, St. Joseph, was fleeing law enforcement eastbound in the 5600 Block of Lake Front Lane in St. Joseph.
The pickup struck the drivers side of a parked 2005 Ford Five Hundred. The driver of the Silverado reversed and struck the drivers side of an eastbound 2021 Ford Explorer driven by Heather L. Annigan, 34, Savannah.
The Silverado fled the scene northbound on Ingersoll Road.
Buchanan County EMS ultimately transported Marti and two passengers identified as Kristen L. Smith, 33, Faucett and Rodney L. Phillippe, 27, Maryville, to Mosaic Life Care. Annigan was not injured.
Marti and the passengers in the Silverado were not wearing seat belts, according the the MSHP. The MSHP released no additional details including what prompted the chase.
