Northwest Missouri State University has postponed its winter commencement ceremonies.
Officials at Northwest say they took the step “out of an abundance of caution for its community and others during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.”
The ceremonies had been scheduled for November 20th through the 22nd at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
Students who would have participated in the winter commencement on the Maryville campus now have the option to participate in the spring commencement ceremonies, currently scheduled for May 7th and 8th next year.
Fall semester on the Northwest campus ends November 24th with Northwest taking its Thanksgiving break. The week after the Thanksgiving break will be a preparation week for students. Final exams, with some exceptions, will be online during the scheduled final exam week: December 7th through the 11th.
