Connie J. Archdekin, 73, Prairie Village, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

She was born October 25, 1951, to Marvin W. and Helen L. (Rathburn) Gladden in Wathena, Kansas.

Connie married Dale R. Archdekin, II on November 10, 1972. They celebrated 50 wonderful years together before his passing on June 14, 2023.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She cherished her grandchildren deeply, always making them a priority and surrounding them with love. An adventurous spirit, Connie enjoyed traveling and spent eight memorable years living in Germany with her family.

A hard worker throughout her life, Connie dedicated many years to her career in accounting, where her sharp mind and determination shone through. She was known for her strength and resilience — tough when she needed to be, but always with a quick wit and sense of humor that brightened those around her.

Connie’s caring and generous nature touched countless lives. She was loved by many, always ready to give of herself to family, friends, and even strangers. In her quieter moments, she found peace on her patio, where she delighted in watching hummingbirds visit, a simple joy that reflected her appreciation for life’s small blessings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Archdekin, and father, Marvin Gladden.

Survivors include her children, Dale R. (Carmel) Archdekin, III of Philadelphia, PA, Garrett W. Archdekin of Kansas City, MO and Courtney J. (Jeremy) Whiteley of Olathe, KS; grandchildren, Adrian Archdekin, Evyn Archdekin, and Dekin Whiteley.

Also survived by her mother, Helen Gladden; siblings, Wayne (M.J.) Gladden, Sam (Debbie) Gladden, Lin Gladden, Terry Gladden, and Sonja (Robin) Ruhnke; additional in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
