Dwight E. Fields, 81, Fillmore, Missouri; passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at a local health care center.
Dwight was born on October 17, 1942 in Andrew County, Missouri to the late Gerald and Jeannette (Spicer) Fields. He was a graduate of Fillmore High School.
Mr. Fields served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War era earning a National Defense Service Medal.
Dwight was owner and operator of Fields Garage and had previously worked as a welder at Richmond Screw and Anchor.
Dwight was a member of the Fillmore Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and was an avid outdoorsman; enjoying horseback riding, camping, hunting and fishing.
Dwight married Ruth Ann Wilson on August 13, 1966 and celebrated fifty-seven years of marriage.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Ruth, of the home; son, Brian Fields (Liz); daughter, Michele Weber (Dan); grandchildren, Kelby, Joshua, Taryn, Hayden, Sammy and Christopher; five great-grandchildren, Emery, Addy, William, Brayden and Lily; two sisters, Caroline Fansher and Diana Davison (Keith) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. Military honors will be rendered on our courtyard following the service.
