BUCHANAN COUNTY—Five people were injured in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Monday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Kia Sephia driven by San Juanita C. Pesina, 27, St. Joseph, was eastbound on MO 752 just east of St. Joseph.
The vehicle began to slide, crossed the center of the road and struck a westbound 2018 Dodge Caravan driven by Jennifer L. Towell, 44, St. Joseph.
Buchanan County EMS transported Pesina, Towell, a passenger in the Dodge Lori A. Boller, 58, St. Joseph, and two boys, ages 4 and 5 in the Kia to Mosaic Life Care.
The occupants of the Kia were not properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
