Robert "Bob" Carl Stuebs 1946 - 2024

Robert “Bob” Carl Stuebs, 77 years old, of Atchison, KS, died peacefully at his home from complications of cancer on July 7th, 2024; surrounded by love from his devoted wife of 56 years Angela Coleen (Clites) Stuebs, as well as many family members and friends.

Bob was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin on October 14,1946, to Ralph and Marie (Peterson) Stuebs and was a beloved brother to ten siblings: Ronald, Ralph, William, Bonnie, Patricia, Elaine, Darrell, Carol, Roger, and Penny. Bob took great pride in being a parent to his children: Dee Munsen (husband Bill), Troy Stuebs (wife Cindy), Misty Stuebs, Bobbie Jo Stuebs, and his granddaughter who he adopted Savannah Stuebs. He was a loving grandfather to an additional thirteen grandchildren: Dustin, Nicole, Kaleb, Josh, Colin, Chance, Micah, Abigail, Jack, Quinn, Rhys, Bo, and Darby; and great grandfather to Willow and William, who all dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted on them. He also helped many children in need by serving as foster parent.

He proudly served his country as a member of the United State Air Force earning the rank of Sargeant before his honorable discharge in 1970. He then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Emporia State University before embarking on his career of teaching Industrial Arts at the Bert Nash School in Atchison, KS.

Bob took to the woods at an early age, he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter who shared his passion with his family and friends. He enjoyed teaching hunters’ safety and promoting the virtues of hunting. He took pride in being a man of his word, trusted friend, and lived his life by these principals.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger Stuebs.
